Chilero was born from a simple idea: beach driving should feel easy—quiet, clean, fun, and made for real life in Costa Rica.

Our founder Dana Loach, is a Canadian who fell in love with the Pacific coast—especially the Jacó vibe: sunrise surf checks, sandy paws in the back, and spontaneous runs from the beach to town and back again. After years of chasing that feeling, he set out to bring a vehicle that matches it: vintage-style electric beach cars designed for sun, salt air, and everyday coastal living.

Today, Chilero is based in Jacó Beach, Puntarenas, importing and supporting electric vehicles built for coastal adventures.
We’re expanding the lineup to 6 models to choose from, and as we grow, we’ll offer made-to-order / produced-on-demand configurations—so you can build the Chilero that fits your lifestyle.
